NIDA Productions
For this project the majority of the work was welding grinding and painting stands for specific items. The big builds were trio costume stands which featured three items of the costume students, and information crescent, and their portfolios. The NIDA Makes welcome sign was created, welded and finished by myself and fellow first year Connor Newman. This was a big project which feature complex angles and welding.
NIDA Makes 2023
The NIDA Makes display is a NIDA yearly display which highlights a diverse collection of work created by the Costume, Scenic Construction and Properties and Objects students. Within the display the graduating makers of 2023 have selected projects which reflect the expansive skillset and creativity that has been cultivated throughout their NIDA Journey. For the October production season at NIDA I aided the creative team in constructing all the plinths, stands and signage required for the NIDA Makes installation. Collaboratively our group created a sleek display which highlighted the students works without distracting from it.
‘The Writer’ 2023

A young female playwright and an older male director find themselves alone in an empty theatre. She wants a new form of theatre that dismantles capitalism and overturns the patriarchy. He’s turned on by the commercial potential of her rage. The Writer premiered at the Almeida Theatre in 2018 and takes aim at the business of making art – the compromises it demands, the people it chews up, and the endless ways in which patriarchal power can infect . It rocks the very foundations upon which theatre is built.
This shows props were centered around a ‘home’ set which begins to breakdown as the writers world collapses. I served as a props assistant helping to create and finish the props for the show. Once the props were finished I crewed on the show. The show involved many fast paced transitions and props changes as the world broke.
